Blue Gold extended description (play trailer)

Synopsis:
Global Warming is an issue of "how" we live, the water crisis is an issue of "if" we live.

On every corner of the globe, we are polluting, diverting, pumping and wasting our limited supply of fresh water at an exponential level as population and technology grows. The rampant over development of agriculture, housing and industry increase the demands for fresh water well beyond the finite supply, resulting in the desertification of the earth.

Corporate giants force developing countries to privatize their water supply for profit. Wall Street investors target desalination and mass bulk water export schemes. Corrupt governments use water for economic and political gain. Military control of water emerges and a new geopolitical map and power structure forms, setting the stage for world water wars.

"Sounds the same sweeping alarms as Inconvenient Truth, only about our dwindling water supplies." – Toronto Star

Narrated by Malcolm McDowell

The Eyes of Van Gogh extended description (play trailer)

Synopsis:
After the disastrous months spent with Gauguin in the yellow house in Arles, Vincent van Gogh, in desperate search of a cure from attacks that increasingly plague him, voluntarily enters an insane asylum. The Eyes of Van Gogh is a story, never told before, of the twelve nightmarish months van Gogh spent in the insane asylum at St. Remy. Through hallucinations, terrifying dreams and wrenching memories, the film tells a tale of magnificent battles: to create – to connect - to love - to change the world. It visualizes the drive and complexity, the heroism and agony of a great artist and a great man. The film explores the theme of an artistic mind in torment, a creative soul in despair, an exquisitely sensitive being ravaged and destroyed by cruelty, wracked by indifference and loneliness, yet desperately seeking to live, to hope, to finish his work, to find a path other than those leading to madness or death.

A Single Woman extended description (play trailer)

Synopsis:
A Single Woman is the story of the first US Congresswoman and lifelong pacifist, Jeannette Rankin. She ran for Congress in 1916 and won. The subject of her first vote (against President WilsonÕs WWI war resolution) set the stage for her destiny.

In 1920, Jeannette was founding vice-president of the American Civil Liberties Union who, in 1933, tried to persuade President Roosevelt to revise immigration laws and allow Jewish refugees into the U.S.

In 1940, Jeannette was re-elected as Congresswoman from Montana on a peace platform and again voted against a world war, this time as the lone anti-war voice in the American Legislature. She was mobbed and vilified and spent the rest of her life traveling to India and studying the teachings and methods of Mohandas Gandhi and the effects of colonialism on peoples all over the world.

During the Vietnam era, she enjoyed a renaissance when the anti-war culture of the day celebrated her perseverance as a dedicated pacifist and human rights advocate. She died in 1973.

Spike extended description (play trailer)

Synopsis:
Spike is the monstrously mutated suitor who builds a forest lair in which he dwells for several years while awaiting the arrival of his “beauty” - a girl with whom he shares a history, and whom he has idolized his entire life.
The girl and a group of friends find themselves, by no coincidence, stranded in Spike’s forest. The Beast kidnaps his Beauty. Spike also injures her boyfriend and holds him hostage. Thus begins the girl’s quest to recover her ill-fated lover from Spike -- whether through reason, charm, coercion, or violence -- while her friends try to recover her.
Spike maneuvers through the dark tensions of a monster’s love and the depths to which a beauty may sink to evade it, arguably becoming monstrous herself. In the end, we must uncomfortably agree that, as Spike himself says, “There is always some madness in love.” Spike gives that madness life.

"Impressive, uniquely engaging gothic fairytale with unexpected turns." - Sean Decker, FANGORIA

Different (Dis) Abilities – Not Like the Others extended description (play trailer)

Synopsis:
Each child's life reveals the obvious, clarifies the confusing, and inspires all.

The primary purpose of the camp is to offer, without charge, a camp for physically challenged, hearing/vision impaired, and diabetic children - regardless of race, religion, or national origin.

What part of our human nature believes harassing, ridiculing, and excluding those who are different from us is “right”? What makes us “normal”? “Different Abilities” opens a window showing how abnormal is far more normal than we thought.

Note: We recommend viewing the film with an open heart & a full box of tissue.
